After 6 years at NTV, Olive Burrows quits

After a fruitful year at the Kimathi Street-based TV station, NTV news anchor Olive Burrows bid farewell to Nation Media Group.

Looking back on her time at NTV, she expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunities and meaningful friendships she cultivated over her six-year tenure.

“You guys have been trying to make me cry today, but I’ll blame it on the rain if it happens,” she jokingly quipped in response to farewell messages from her colleagues.

Insiders familiar with her plans disclosed that she is set to join Citizen TV, reportedly stepping into the shoes of Victoria Rubadiri, who recently departed to CNN.

Burrows took a moment to acknowledge the significant role NTV played in her professional and personal journey, underscoring the deep connections she formed with her coworkers.

“I cherish each one of you. It’s been an honor to work here at Nation Media Group for the past six years,” she conveyed her heartfelt appreciation.

She also reflected on how NTV took a chance on her, which ultimately led to fulfilling growth both in her career and personal life.

“They believed in me, and it’s been rewarding, not just professionally but also in the friendships forged. We stand together as comrades in this endeavor for the greater good of our country,” Burrows remarked.

Before her time at NTV, Burrows served as a news anchor at Capital FM.

Victoria Rubadiri, who co-anchored weekend news alongside veteran Jeff Koinange, had earlier bid farewell to NTV.
