Release Date for 2024 KCSE Results
The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results for 2024 are set to be officially released this Thursday. The announcement will be made by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba at the New Mitihani House in South C, Nairobi.
This year saw a record-breaking 965,501 candidates sit for the exams across 10,755 centres, a significant increase from 903,138 candidates in 2023. The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) wrapped up marking on December 13, 2024, ensuring timely preparation of the results.
What’s New This Year?
According to KNEC CEO Dr. David Njengere, there were no cases of early exposure to examination materials during the 2024 KCSE.
“I can confirm that last year and this year, we did not have a single case of early exposure of the second session papers,” said Dr. Njengere.
This marks a continued effort by KNEC to ensure the credibility and integrity of the national examinations.
