Casanova 2 impeccable acting lights up Nakuru player’s theatre By  MERCY KIHUGU

Theatre lovers were yesterday treated to an evening of storytelling, fun and laughter at the Nakuru Player’s Theatre during the showcasing of Casanova 2 play.

Both adults and children streamed into the theatre from 5.30 pm to enjoy the show performed by ‘A Bunch of Idiot Productions’ as the play was starting at exactly 6 pm.

Amidst the laughter, the play’s central theme of a man’s infidelity and a friend’s loyalty took center stage.

At the heart of the drama was the charismatic Brian, a charming womanizer entangled in a web of his own making when his plans with his mistress, Suzie, collided with an unexpected failed weekend plans from his wife, Gabriella.

Desperate to conceal his indiscretions, Brian persuades his friend Robert into becoming Suzie’s fictional lover, unknowingly complicating matters as Robert harbours his own secret affair with Gabriella.

The ensuing cat-and-mouse game between deceit and desire kept the audience spellbound, glued to their seats from the play’s inception to its compelling conclusion.

The actors, a testament to their exceptional talent, skilfully blended humour and versatility, leaving a mark on the theatrical canvas of the audience.

In an interview after the play, Zipporah Nyangara praised the skillful execution of the play, highlighting its role in showcasing the talents within Nakuru’s theatre scene.

She commended the diverse audience, a reflection of the growing appreciation for theatrical performances in the city.

As the curtains fall on yesterday’s performance, the anticipation remains for today’s repeat performance from 5 pm to 8 pm.
